Hi, I’m Kim!

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist with 20 years of experience in the dental field. I have a great deal of experience working with clients of all ages to achieve optimum oral health.

Years ago, my own personal and family struggles with breathing, sleep, tongue tie and oral dysfunction issues started me on my journey into Orofacial Myology. I knew there must be a way to address, treat and prevent the underlying cause of these problems rather than just treating the symptoms.

In 2016, after extensive training and advanced education in Orofacial Myology, I opened Face Forward OMT: an independent practice dedicated to Myofunctional Therapy services.

I enjoy working with a variety of clients of all ages to improve oral function as it relates to breathing, speaking, chewing, swallowing and facial growth and development.  I am also an airway advocate and I’m passionate about spreading awareness about the connections between healthy breathing and quality sleep.

Through my individualized therapy, my fun and relaxed approach to correcting oral dysfunctional and elimination of habits has proven to be very successful.

I am an active mentor and educator in Myofunctional therapy for other dental professionals. I am always interested in connecting and collaborating with clients, parents and other healthcare professionals who are interested in learning, improving health and making a difference for those living with oral dysfunction.

I am also available for speaking engagements, seminars, team lectures and private mentoring.

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

hi, I’m krista!

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. I have experience in clinical dental hygiene, orthodontic care and myofunctional therapy and enjoy pulling my knowledge from these areas in order to provide you with the best care possible.

In my practice of dental hygiene, I regularly saw clients who were concerned with teeth clenching, teeth grinding, jaw pain, headaches and sleep issues and it wasn’t until I discovered the field of Orofacial Myology that I understood there were other ways to help them. With Myofunctional Therapy, I’m able to help treat the underlying cause of these problems, rather than just treating the symptoms.

My goal is to work with you to improve your oral function in a fun way!

We’ll be using exercises and breathing activities to help treat the root cause of your symptoms and to help prevent future issues.

I’m passionate about prevention and collaboration and love working with kids, teens and adults to help you achieve good oral function and total body health.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
